Ten Poles were wounded in the attack. Two planes carrying eight of them, and five members of their families, landed at Warsaw’s military airport on Friday night.

The wounded persons were taken straight to hospital. The remaining two persons, who were not fit for transport, have remained in a Tunis hospital.

The spokesman for the Polish Foreign Ministry Marcin Wojciechowski has said that their condition is not life-threatening. He also told reporters that the bodies of the three victims of the assault will be brought to Poland after all the necessary procedures are completed in Tunisia. Two members of the Foreign Ministry staff are on the spot to oversee the arrangements.

The home affairs minister Teresa Piotrowska has assured in a special statement that all Polish nationals who suffered as a result of the attack in Tunisia will be given all-round assistance from the state. (mk/nh)
