Poland and Albania sign three-year cultural cooperation agreement

Poland and Albania signed a three-year cultural cooperation agreement, during a visit by Polish Prime Minister Beata Szydło in Tirana on Friday.

During the visit Szydło met her Albanian counterpart, Edi Rama, as well as the country’s president, Bujar Nishani.
Prime Minister Rama said that his country counts on increasing the economic cooperation with Poland, including in the tourism sector.
“We see a growing presence of Poles in Albania, also Polish tourists. This is a very important potential which we discussed during our meeting,” he said.
“The potential for developing economic cooperation between Poland and Albania is huge,” Szydło said during the visit.
“We want to increase Poland’s export offer [to Albania],” Szydło added.
Cultural cooperation until 2019
During the talks, the representatives of the two countries’ culture ministries signed a cooperation agreement until 2019.
Similar agreements were signed by the Polish Information and Foreign Investment Agency (PAIiIZ), the National Chamber of Commerce and their Albanian counterparts.
The Polish delegation was accompanied by a group of businessmen. (rg)
