The news agency reported that 40 Polish teens had been on board the coach which ran into a truck while returning from a school trip and that the wounded people had been taken to hospital.
Among those injured was the bus's driver, who firefighters had to help get out of the crashed front end of the vehicle.
ANSA later issued a correction, that the coach's passengers were, in fact, Bulgarian, and not Polish.
The cause of the crash is still unknown. (vb)
