Wrocław Mayor Rafał Dutkiewicz said that the city's commemorations of the anniversary were a tribute to Israel and the Jewish culture and aimed also to oppose anti-Semitism.
To mark Israeli Independence Day, Wrocław also hosted lectures, film screenings and concerts.
