Poland’s First Lady Anna Komorowska is today visiting scouts participants in the 22nd World Scout Jamboree near Kristianstad in Sweden.
About 650 Polish scouts are joining the world meet which has brought together more than 40 thousand young people from 150 countries, and which ends this weekend.
The Polish sailing ship Zawisza Czarny, which officially belongs to the Polish Scouting Union, is one of the ambassadors of Poland at the event, along with Polish apples and spun sugar.
Today’s Festival of Cultures will also feature lessons in basic Polish and a photograph session with a bison.
The World Scout Jamborees have held every four years since 1920.
This Sunday, the camp will be visited by King Gustav and Queen Sylvia of Sweden. (ek)
