Veteran director Jerzy Skolimowski has begun shooting new thriller 11 Minutes in the Polish capital.

The Polish-Irish co-production stars Andrzej Chyra (Katyn, All that I Love) alongside up and coming star Dawid Ogrodnik (You are God, I want to live).
Little is known about the plot for Skolimowski's latest movie, although he has hinted that it hinges on a catastrophe.
Filming is also set to take place in Ireland, with the Irish Film Board among the backers of the movie alongside the Polish Film Institute and Eurimages, Europe's biggest co-production fund.
11 Minutes is Skolomowski's first venture behind the camera since his 2010 film Essential Killing (2010), an award-winning political thriller about a suspected terrorist who escapes from a US detention centre somewhere in Poland.
Since then Skolimowski played King Jan Sobieski in a big budget Italian-Polish co-production about the 1683 Relief of Vienna, although the latter failed to win over critics. (nh)
