The event, which celebrates Japanese comics and animation, has been held in the Polish capital since 2011.
Participants gathered at Sigismund's Column by the Royal Castle, before beginning the annual jaunt.
Prizes for the best costumes were also due to be handed out later on Saturday afternoon.
Manga, which is noted worldwide for its sophistication and panache, has become a major part of the Japanese publishing industry.
The first examples to be published in Poland were released in 1996 by Japonica Polonica Fantastica (JPF), soon to be followed by several other publishing houses. (nh)
