Płock zoo sets overnight stay record

The City Zoo in the central Poland town of Płock has set a new Polish record for overnight visitors.

The “zoonooc” (zoo-night) campaign this year, its third, saw 876 people stay overnight at the local zoo, up from 745 in 2014.
Visitors came from all over Poland and beyond, with the youngest guest two years old, all involved in competitions and animal feeding.
“We heard about the campaign when we came to Płock from Geneva,” Zbigniew, who had come with his eight-year old son, said. (jh)
