The city announced on Wednesday that the event is due to be held on 27 August at the Municipal Stadium, and tickets will go on sale on 5 April.
German rockers Rammstein got together in 1994, and despite singing most of their material in their native tongue, they have won a loyal following around the globe.
The band is noted for its spectacular live performances, often involving pyrotechnics.
US combo Limp Bizkit - also formed in 1994 - scored a string of hits with tracks such as 'Talke a Look Around', 'Rollin' (Air Raid Vehicle)' and 'Eat you Alive.'
Other acts set to play at the festival include British purveyors of thrash metal Bullet for my Valentine. (nh)
