The Poles won in the Small Ensemble Youth Division, which is open to musicians under 18.
Participants included musicians from the United States, Japan, China, South Korea, Australia, Mexico, France, Hungary and Serbia.
The Felice Guitar Quartet is made up by Natalia Kornatka, Dorota Perczyńska, Olga Hala and Kacper Kardasiński, all of whom are students at a music school in Jarosław, south-eastern Poland.
The director of the school, Piotr Polański, who is in charge of the guitar class, has told Poland’s PAP news agency: “To score a victory at the most prestigious event of its kind for a second time in a row is an incredible success.”
Last year, the Felice Guitar Quartet won a GFA competition in Fullerton, California.
