Entitled Squadron 303, the film is based on a book by Polish author Arkady Fiedler.
It follows the story of the young airmen who fought for Britain's Royal Air Force during WWII with immense success.
Actor Piotr Adamczyk, who plays commander Witold Urbanowicz in the film, said the movie was a tribute to the Polish pilots, adding that World War II might have ended differently had it not been for their efforts.
303 squadron of the Royal Airforce took down some 120 German planes in the Battle of Britain, three times more than any other Allied squadron, according to some reports.
Squadron 303 is the second film tribute to the Polish pilots to hit cinemas since BAFTA and Emmy award-winner David Blair's Hurricane's recent release. (vb/pk)
