Secret Pope JPII manuscript to be published

Decades-old secret writings by Poland's Karol Wojtyła, better known as Pope John Paul II, are going to be published, Polish Radio has reported.

One hundred and fifty pages of Wojtyła's thoughts, penned more than 50 years ago and, until recently, unknown to even his closest colleagues, are to be printed as the Church marks 40 years since he became pope.
The thirteen religious teachings, focusing on faith and theology, were inspired by sermons by the Areopagus sermon, Saint Paul's address to Athenians, said Marcin Baniak from publishing house Wydawnictwo Literackie.
The Areopagus sermon is reportedly the most dramatic and fullest reported speech of the missionary career of Saint Paul recorded in the Bible.
"One could say that it is one of John Paul II's most important works. That is what all the people who have so far come to know the text have unanimously said," Baniak said.
But how Polish Cardinal Stanisław Dziwisz came into possession of the manuscript remains veiled in secrecy, Polish Radio reported.
