Warsaw Film Festival take 34

A total of 190 movies from 61 countries, including 15 world premieres, will be screened at the annual Warsaw Film Festival opening on Friday.

Film buffs will be able to meet directors, producers and actors.

Festival director Stefan Laudyn has told reporters: "We want films to be interesting stories, well told with the language of contemporary cinema.”

He added: “And it’s good if a film moves us, if we laugh – those are the kinds of films we pick.”

The festival runs until October 21 and is being held for the 34th time.
