Modern British art on show in Poland’s Gdańsk

Two exhibitions of contemporary British art have opened at the National Museum in Gdańsk, northern Poland.

One of the exhibitions, entitled Made in Britain, features 132 paintings, drawings and prints by 82 artists from a British-based private collection founded by artist Robert Priseman and his wife Ally Seabrook.
Set up in 2004, the Priseman Seabrook Collection contains works by the likes of David Hockney, Tracey Emin, Alison Pilkington, Ehryn Torrell, Nicholas Middleton and Simon Burton.
The other exhibition, entitled …on making, comprises 44 photographs by nine women artists.
The shows at the National Museum’s Green Gate branch in central Gdańsk run until June 9.
