15th edition of the New York Polish Film Festival

The New York Polish Film Festival opens on May 22nd presenting feature films, documentaries and shorts- many of which have their premiere in the US.
Established in 2005 , the annual New York Polish Film Festival is the largest such event in the Northeast and focuses on promoting Polish cinema in the US. The NYPFF presents the diversity of Polish cinema, showcasing contemporary films but also taking a look back at the achievements of the great masters of Polish film.
This year’s festival presents ,among others, “The Butler” by Filip Bajon, an epic story set between 1900 and 1945, also “Werewolf” by Adrian Panek , “Nina” a debut film by Olga Chajdas or Marek Koterski’s “Seven Emotions” yet another satire by the master of the genre.
The festival also hosts authors of the films- and this year Filip Bajon, Janusz Kondratiuk and Olga Chajdas will be present for Q&A sessions after the screenings .

The NYPFF jury presents the Beyond Borders Award, named in honour of Krzysztof Kieślowski for best feature, short and documentary while the audience selects their own favourite and bestow the New York Audience Award.
