Campus Warsaw, offering co-working and event space, is geared towards bringing together and supporting IT businesses and entrepreneurs.
“The future growth of Europe is based on entrepreneurship and innovation. Campus Warsaw is our next step in helping Poland and the CEE region to thrive in these two areas," said the head of Google Europe, Matt Brittin.
"It will be a new business space for entrepreneurs looking for knowledge, global networking opportunities and support in building companies which might change the world,” he added.
The complex "does not aim to invest in startups, but we will be happy to see it spur job creation as has been the case with the remaining campuses," said the head of Campus Warsaw, Rafał Plutecki, at Thursday's opening event.
Since the global IT giant opened its first such site in London three years ago, the company's campuses have drawn 70,000 members and created over 4,600 jobs so far.
The facility, located at a former vodka distillery, is Google's fifth such hub, after London, Tel Aviv, Seoul and Madrid. (aba/di)
