Szydło was speaking during the second day of the Krynica Economic Forum, a major international conference in southern Poland.
She said: "There is at the moment for Poland, for the Polish government, no higher priority than development.
“This will determine our future, it will determine whether Poland will be a champion not only in Europe but also in the world economy; this will determine the success of our citizens, the functioning of our state, its position in the world.”
Szydło said she wanted the Polish economy to grow faster “so that it provides opportunities, and so that what today are small [firms] became medium-sized, medium-sized [firms] become large, and large ones become companies with a global reach.”
