Some 10,000 business people and government representatives from more than 100 countries will be at the Indian investment summit.
There is a chance that a contract will be signed for the supply of PZL Mielec’s M28 plane to India.
The M28, which carries 18-19 people and can be converted into a cargo plane, meets requirements for landing at some of India's most remote and difficult landing sites.
Other Polish businesses at the summit include Ekolog, which manufactures sewage treatment plants, Bakoma, and BZK Holding which hopes to export rape oil and fodder ingredients.
Meanwhile, Toruń-based TZMO Group, which has been present on the Indian market for over a decade producing sanitary and medical hygiene products there, will also be at the summit as it is considering opening a factory in Gujarat.
In the period from January to October 2016, Polish trade with India was valued at PLN 9.66 billion (USD 2.34 billion EUR, 2.21 billion), up by 27 percent year on year. (vb/di)
