The stock exchange said Antczak had tendered his resignation for personal reasons.
Antczak was provisionally appointed as the new chief of the Warsaw bourse on 4 January.
But the Polish Financial Supervision Authority (KNF) did not make a decision on issuing consent to the change in the WSE board.
Antczak, a member of the board of Deloitte Consulting in Poland, was due to replace Małgorzata Zaleska, who was appointed WSE chief just over a year ago.
Antczak has over 20 years of experience in the field, having worked as chief economist at insurer PZU, as well as for the CASE think-tank.
