“I have decided that we will end collaboration with the IMF within this scope, that is we won’t need access to the [USD 9.2 billion] credit line,” Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said during a visit to the United States.

Morawiecki added that contributing factors to his decision included Poland’s economic situation, financial data, financial stability and currency reserves.

The Flexible Credit Line was put in place for Poland in 2009, but the country has never drawn on the funds. (aba/pk)
