IMF ups forecast for Polish 2018 GDP growth

The International Monetary Fund has revised upward its forecast for Poland’s economic growth this year.

In its latest World Economic Outlook report, the IMF predicts Polish GDP will grow 4.4 percent in 2018.
In April, the IMF forecast 4.1 percent GDP growth for Poland this year.
The IMF predicts that economic growth in Poland will slow down to 3.5 percent in 2019 and 2.8 percent in the mid-term.
Ratings agency Moody's in September revised upward its forecast for Polish GDP growth this year to 5 percent.
The Polish economy grew 4.8 percent in 2017, the country’s Central Statistical Office (GUS) said last week, revising upward its previous estimate of 4.6 percent.
Poland’s finance minister said in mid-August that the country’s economic growth could slow to under 4 percent in 2019.
