In total, 7.1 percent of all Polish retailers were online-based in 2018, compared to 15.7 percent in the UK, 11.8 percent in the US and 9.1 percent in Germany, Rzeczpospolita said.
According to the daily, the revenue of Polish online stores reached PLN 50 billion (EUR 11.6 bn) last year.
The result was significantly boosted by new restrictions in Poland on brick-and-mortar Sunday trading, the paper added.
Trading was last year banned on two Sundays each month. This year the ban was stepped up to three Sundays a month.
In 2020, trading will be forbidden on all Sundays except seven.
The ban does not apply to online stores.
As of December 2018, there were almost 31,000 online stores in the country, according to Rzeczpospolita.
