Ahead of the trip, Duda said drumming up business will be his main aim, and he will visit a plant where Polish Ursus tractors are assembled.
“Poland and Polish businesses are looking for investment areas in Africa,” a top presidential aide said, adding that there are two major Polish investments and a number of large companies with a presence in Ethiopia.
Duda, who earlier pledged to expand Poland's trade partnerships, will also take part in a conference called “Polish-Ethiopia trade partners”.
Duda will also seek African backing for Poland's campaign for a non-permanent seat on the UN security council for 2018-2019, voting for which will take place in early June.
He wants to meet representatives of all 54 African countries in the Ethiopian capital, which is the home of the African Union. (vb)
