Euro 2012 set for 'El Clásico' clash

With Real Madrid's Cristiano Ronaldo leading the Portuguese team, against a Spanish squad heavy with Barcelona players, the expected semi final showdown will be between two sides who play very much in the style of the two El Clásico rivals.

Portugal rely on counter attacks and getting the ball out to the wings, and then to Ronaldo; while Spain play an intricate passing game reminiscent of Barcelona.

The Spain – Portugal match at the stadium in Donetsk, Ukraine, is the first of the semi finals; the second, between Germany and Italy will take place at Warsaw's National Stadium on Thursday. (pg)
