We talk to RT television’s Richard van Poortvliet who was at the Euro 2012 final in Kiev, Sunday night.

And finally, although many have mentioned that the inclusion of just 16 teams at Euro tournaments – as opposed to the 24 that turn up for World Cups - has added to the quality of the matches, which has been high at Euro 2012.

But “if it ain’t broke then don’t fix it” is not a saying which will find many enthusiasts at UEFA, who have decided, in their ultimate wisdom, to add eight more teams at the Euro 2016 championships in France.

And on that bombshell, we hope you enjoyed Euro 2012 as much as we did here at Polish Radio’s English Section. The great summer of sport continues, however, with Wimbledon and Tour de France on through July and, of course, the London 2012 Olympics in August.
