In the final match, the Australian beat Welshman Mark Williams 4-0, with breaks reaching 65, 63 and 109 in each successive frame.

“I’ve come back to a place where I’ve had really good results in the past, it’s always very pleasing and the crowds were fantastic and it’s been a fantastic week for me […] I’m very pleased to be among the winners’ circle again on the tour,” Robertson told Polish Radio after the win.

Robertson last took the Gdynia title in 2012, and now moves on to the final of the Players Tour Championship in Thailand later this month.

Meanwhile, the best Polish result during the Gdynia Open was achieved by Polish U-21 champion Kacper Filipiak. The Polish snooker player reached the Round of 64, losing out to England’s Oliver Lines 0-4. (jb)
