Arsenal scouts reportedly flew to watch the Sevilla midfielder play on Tuesday evening in the SuperCup final against Barcelona in the Georgian capital Tblisi.
Krychowiak is emerging as a serious target for Arsenal manager Arsène Wenger as he considers making further additions before the transfer window closes on 1 September, The Daily Telegraph reports.
The Poland international has a buy-out clause of GBP 21.26 million at the Europa League winners.
Arsenal have apparently been keen on Krychowiak for the past 18 months.
The 25-year-old joined the Stellar Group agency earlier this summer and is believed to be open to the prospect of joining a Premier League club competing in the Champions League.
Krychowiak has over 20 caps for the Poland national football team since his international debut in 2008.
Krychowiak usually plays as a defensive midfielder and on rare occasions he has also appeared in central defense. (jh/rk)
