Tennis star Radwańska to be Poland's Euro 2016 ambassador

Agnieszka Radwańska will be Poland's Euro 2016 ambassador in France this summer, it has been confirmed.

Radwańska, who is currently World No.2 according to the WTA's latest ranking, wrote on her Facebook and Twitter profiles that she is “proud to be a supporter and ambassador of Poland's UEFA EURO 2016 campaign in France.”
Recent research indicated that the 27-year-old tennis player is Poland's best known sports personality on the international stage.
Poland's first EURO 2016 clash is scheduled for 12 June in Nice, against Northern Ireland. Other sides in Poland's Group C are Germany and Ukraine.
Radwańska will be in France in the lead-up to Euro 2016, as she is scheduled to play in Grand Slam showdown the French Open (also known as Roland Garros), which finishes on 5 June.
She will have to head for Wimbledon before the close of EURO 2016, with the London tournament due to start on 26 June. (nh/pk)
