The concert, featuring Polish bands such as Coma and T.Love, was to be the first event at the stadium, built to host matches during the Euro 2012 football championships.
But Town Hall spokesperson Ewa Gawor said today the stadium has yet to receive safety permits from the Buildings District Inspector and fire brigade.
“The Inspectorate has pointed out certain weaknesses, with parts of documents missing. The situation with the fire brigade is the same,” Gawor said, Monday afternoon.
She added that if the Warsaw local authorities do not receive the permits by Friday then the concert will have to be called off.
The stadium was scheduled to be completed by June last year but after construction failures were revealed in May 2011, the completion date was put back.
The stadium, with a capacity for just under 60,000, will begin the Euro 2012 football championships being co-hosted with Ukraine with the opening match between Poland and Greece on 8 June. (pg)
