Gdansk hosts European Arm Wrestling Championship

Around 640 athletes from 25 countries are currently battling it out at the XXII European Arm Wrestling Championships in Gdansk, northern Poland.
The championships, which began on Wednesday and will end on Saturday, 19 May, include medals to be won in the juniors, seniors, masters and disabilities categories for both men and women.
“The tournament in Gdansk will have a record attendance of athletes,” says president of the Polish Arm Wrestling Federation Igor Mazurenko.
The event ends on Saturday evening with the finals of the senior, right handed, arm wrestle. (pg)
