Edinburgh in August is like nowhere else on earth. Starting Friday, the city’s International Festival is sure to attract the most famous names in the performing arts.
One of its main components, the less high-brow Edinburgh Festival Fringe, alone will this month host over 3,300 different shows.
As Michał Owczarek reports among the attractions are also Polish-themed events.
"In the Battle of Monte Cassino, Wojtek [The Bear] became a legend when he started to carry shells for the Polish II Artillery Corps and they put his logo on all the jeeps and vehicles that they had,” says Raymond Ross, Artistic Director of Theatre Objektiv billing the play "Wojtek the Bear".
