Every five years, Warsaw is the venue for the International Chopin Piano Competition.

Established in 1927, it has been one of the world's top piano events, opening world careers to young pianists.
The auditions for the third round begin on Wednesday.
Agnieszka Łaszczuk reports.
“People should see this contest as a celebration of Chopin's music and the piano,” said Canadian Charles Richard-Hamelin, who advanced to the third round.
