Winter arrives with heavy snow fall in Warsaw

Between 3 and 5 cms of snow fell on the Polish capital, Friday, signaling the real start of Winter in Poland.

Around 170 workers were out clearing snow in the morning, as temperatures dropped to minus 5 degrees at night and minus 3 during the day.
In Suwalki, north-east Poland, temperatures fell to minus 13 degrees at night. (pg)
