“The new Justice Minister of justice, of course following the appointment by President Bronisław Komorowski, will be 37-year-old graduate of the Law Faculty of the University of Silesia, an experienced local government official, MP, holding a PhD in economics, but also a lecturer since just after his graduation,” Ewa Kopacz said, presenting Budka.
She pointed out that Budka has represented the Polish parliament before the Constitutional Court around 60 times.
Justice Minister Cezary Grabarczyk handed in his resignation to Prime Minister Ewa Kopacz, Wednesday evening, following media reports that he was granted a firearms licence without taking the proper tests in 2012.

“Borys Wódka? Oh, Budka… This is the first time I have heard this name,” former Justice Minister Zbigniew Ziobro told the TVP broadcaster.
Ziobro added that Poles expect “a man of great experience and political power, who will have a clear vision of changes in the judiciary system. The fact that they do not know him, testifies to the chaos and the lack of staffing options of the Prime Minister,” Ziobro, an MEP formerly associated with the opposition Law and Justice (PiS) party, said.
