In a letter to the Rabbi of Poland, Michael Schudrich, the President wrote: “I am happy to witness a revival of the social, cultural and religious life of Polish Jews and to see that we shape together a prosperous future for our two nations.”
“Please receive the traditional wishes on the occasion of this joyous, hope-inspiring holiday: Shanan Tovah Umetukah – A Good and Sweet Year!,” the Polish President wrote.
The Jewish New Year, also known as the Feast of Trumpets, is a two-day celebration. It ends on Tuesday. (mk/rg/rk)
