GUS: Most Polish children born on Tuesdays

Most babies in Poland are born in July, August and September, data from the Central Statistical Office (GUS) shows.

GUS also shows that Tuesdays are the most common days for births, with Sundays being the least common.
In 2014, most children were born on Tuesday, 8 July – when 1,379 children were born around the country.
Over the whole year, 61,321 children were born on Tuesdays, representing 16 percent of all births.
In 2014, 39,067 children were born on Sundays, GUS said, adding that over the last year almost 10,000 twins were born.
Poland's population stands at around 38.5 million. (rg/rk)
