“We want to buy equipment for the Polish Army from Polish plants,” Macierewicz said in Warsaw, adding that these plants must provide adequate equipment quality and the right price.
Macierewicz had earlier said that the Polish special forces would receive the first two special-operations helicopters early this year.
“I have just been told that at the latest, these helicopters will be delivered this March, meaning a delay of one month,” Macierewicz said.
He said that the delay was due to the large amount of paperwork to be signed with US suppliers which is taking longer than expected. (rg/di)
