The National Prosecutor's Office will probe the deaths of ten people from Poland's central Łódzkie region who probably took designer drugs.

Nine people have so far been detained on suspicions of drug dealing. They face possible reckless homicide charges.
The state prosecutor on Friday took over an investigation in the Łódzie region which had been set up the day before, Prosecutor General Zbigniew Ziobro said. (vb)
