The incident disrupted a speech by Deputy Prime Minister and Science and Higher Education Minister Jarosław Gowin during a ceremony at the Adam Mickiewicz University in the western city of Poznań to open the new academic year, Poland’s PAP news agency reported.
The university’s rector described the incident as "of course, a hoax," but asked everyone to leave the auditorium, PAP reported.
No details were immediately available, with police declining to provide information about who reported the bomb threat, according to PAP.
